Microbes living in and on us are incredibly important for our health and well-being.  They produce vitamins, increase our immune responses and even affect our mental health.   We will look at the 'bugs' that help us and learn to cook for them.   Some foods have good microbes in them and some foods are just good for the microbes themselves.   Discussion and cooking will take place, and eating, of course!

Biology is Brenda Hull's passion and was her profession for almost 30 years.  After retiring from Young Harris College she still enjoys the natural world on a small farm in Clay County, North Carolina where she raises organic vegetables and fruit and feeds a menagerie of heritage chickens, turkeys, and pigs.  Dogs and a horse round out the family.  For 5 years she has been the sous chef at Crane Creek Vineyard, preparing tapas on Friday nights and special event foods with Chef David Sanford.  Isn't life really all about food?
