This course will focus on four areas of interest during WWI. Week one includes a look at German history and the origins of the Great War. Week two highlights the major battles and personalities. Week three will be a review of the effects of the war and its aftermath. Week four will be dedicated to Remembrance Day and the end of hostilities of World War I in 1918. We will also focus on the literature and poetry of war. With the 100th anniversary of the Great War, new interpretations have been published giving the layman food for thought.
