On June 23 from 9-4 and June 24 from 11-4 the Mountain Regional Arts&Crafts Guild will be presenting the 11th edition of Mountain Fling, an indoor Arts&Crafts show held at the North Georgia Technical College Blairsville, Georgia . This event features 40 local and regional artisans showcasing their handmade creations which will include soap, pottery, jewelry, and cabin decor to name a few items. Visitors can look forward to seeing their favorite vendors such as Bob and Jean Mitchell of Upper Hightower Pottery, Ronald Midkiff-Blue Ridge Bead Weaving, Joan Joppie-C’est Toi , knitted and crocheted items and Glynda Kendall-Memaws Menagerie which includes hand embroidered soft toys and totes, to name just a few of the returning artisans. Some of the new, first time Mountain Fling vendors, will include Warren Swem whose business is named Oh-Pen-Me which includes wood turned pens and key chains , along with polymer clay items in the form of fairy houses, frogs, and gnomes, Randy Hallman-The Cutting Board People, Keith Matthews-Leather by Veterans, and Lisa Burd-Sacred Moon Oils, who is certified in this category and will be providing organic body products. Obviously there are too many more returning and new vendors to list. Additionally the Guild will have a booth featuring the works of various members.
